Camino de Finisterre/Muxia 2016
I have a week in June to do a short camino and am looking for advice on what to choose, possibly the Ingles from Ferrol or the Sanabres from Ourense. I prefer scenic, quieter routes with little tarmac and without crowds. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Are you seeking a compostella? If not, maybe consider a few days on the Camino Aragonnes also called the Camino Frances through Aragon. Very quiet, beautiful scenery.

Thankyou. I am not concerned about a Compostela but as I live in Spain and can easily get flights to Santiago and there are buses to Ferrol and Ourense which would get me there the same day. I will look at the Aragones and see where potential starting towns could be. I have already walked sections of other caminos using flights to Asturias, Santander and Bilbao.

Santiago to Finistere to Muxia is a lovely 7 day route if you've not walked that way before.

Thankyou. I've walked Fisterra but not Muxia . It sounds though as if it is a very busy route now I did Fisterra about 7 years ago and it was lovely.
We walked it as far as Finistere in 2016. This year 4 of us returned, walked it again and went on to Muxia. I have to say that I didn't recognise a lot of the route to Finistere, poor memory maybe! But it was so worth doing again and the stretch from Finistere to Lires and Muxia was beautiful and not really commercialised.

A different short route would be to walk the Baztan from Bayonne to Pamplona. Wild and rugged. But not so easy perhaps from where you're based.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I haven't done the Ingles, so I can't compare. But I can speak to the fact that after Ourense, most of your walking will be on trails. Quite a few of them are flattened gravel, allegedly to make cycling the Camino easier.
