I am travelling to St Jean pdp on the 7th May 2016 via Gatwick to Bordeaux. It seems as cheap and much faster to get a private transfer if 3 or 4 people can share. Is anybody arriving in the morning at Bordeaux Airport ? Does anyone have the name of a good transfer company? Thanks , Richard.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hi Richard. Go on the net and look up Express Bourricot.
All is explained there (and Caroline who speaks English well) can cover your needs.
If you look at other transports Bordeaux is specifically mentioned with train stations and airports.
Happy planning.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Bus service from the airport to the train station twice an hour which takes about 30m and many choices of trains (SNCF) to Bayonne for 2 hours, then onward to SJPdP by train or Express Bouricot, depending on your schedule.

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
We are thinking of flying to France via London to Barritz then train to Sjpdp ,is it easier to get there from Bordeaux ?

It is easier to get there from Biarritz. Take the bus from the Biarritz airport to the Bayonne railroad station/Gare SNCF Bayonne. At Bayonne take the local TER line 62 railroad to SJPdP.

Bon chemin and Buen Camino!
