Hey everyone-

When I walked in 2012 I got my passport from the Pilgrim's Office in SJPP. For walking next month I figured I would order my new passport from Ivar- which I received today. Soooo very silly question-- Can I fill out my info in it myself or does it need to be done by someone "official" when I start in Pamplona? Or maybe I just put my name and then have someone write in my start date/check the "a pie" box at the first place I stay? Just don't want to fill anything out that I shouldn't ;)

Hope I see some of you along the way in October!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I don't know because mine came to me filled out by American Pilgrims on the Camino, but I do just want to note that I didn't put my actual passport number on my pilgrim passport because I just don't like it being in many places. Anyway, I just didn't put that information in. But, I did then have to show my actual passport all the time. It's up to you, but I just wanted to say that it wasn't a big deal that I did that.

On the Camino Ingles this year I filled out my own passport. The first place I stayed had instructions about how to fill it out, and I also filled in a record there saying that is where I started - you may need to look for that or ask about it if you don't start at a major departure point.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Vagando2011' you are at liberty to complete all the personal data parts of your Credencial. You might like to get a sello from the cathedral in Pamplona to show that that is where you commenced your pilgrimage. Though a sello from the Albergue or the Ayuniemento or indeed any bar will do.

Buen Camino

Thank you everyone :) I appreciate it!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
On my second Camino, the pilgrim's passport I bought at the tourist office in SJPdP I just filled out myself and got them to stamp it.

You fill it out yourself and get it stamped (with date) at your starting point. Buen Camino, SY

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
