Camino Francés in May 2023 - SJPP to CdS
Hi fellow pilgrims.
After walking the via Podiensis in October this year we intend to make our way to SJPP to spend a few days in early November. Just wondering if SJPP closes at the end of the walking season and if we will find accommodation, restaurants and shops open or closed. Does anybody have recent experience of SJPP in November? Many thanks for your advice and comments, Michael and Margaret in Australia

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Late October 2 years ago was fabulous- shops open restaurants open accommodations open some closed with plenty open. Weather turned dicey though quickly

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

A couple of days in early November might be very special actually. The famous albergues like Beilari will, of course, be closed, but there are some great little hotels and the restaurants frequented by the towns people will be open, also shops. People live there year round! Sounds like a fun idea. There is a Michelin star restaurant and other really good ones and, of course, if you want to walk you could always head out toward the mountain without getting up into the area that will be officially closed. If you rent a car there are amazing little villages all around.
