OK, I just want everyone to know that Ouigo train travel is kind of like the RyanAir of train travel. Tight seats, little room for luggage, packs, etc. Phil and I traveled with them 2 summers ago for a very discounted ticket from Zaragoza to Madrid. We decided we'd rather pay the extra for a little leg room and a place to put our backpack up above on the Renfe lines. Phil spent the trip (thankfully high speed and short) staring eyeball to eyeball across from a stranger.
I could probably do it again since I am pretty stingy, but I know I would never talk him into it...
