St Jean de Luz - Hendaye coastal path closed (for repair, Nov 2021)

The coastal path between Ciboure and Hendaye was closed to pedestrians on 9/11/21 as it has become dangerous due to recent cliff falls. Pilgrms should follow the traditional inland route via the village of Urrugne

You can walk on the shoulder of the road for the section that is closed - it is not that far and the actual “dangerous” part is truly only about 50m of closed pathway that has given way. We preferred this to following an inland route as the remaining costal path was still beautiful.
