Starting Madrid on May 3/22

Hola Perigrinos,
My wife and I are planning to start the Camino Madrid on May 3rd. I have recently heard that portions of this Camino, particularly between Madrid and Segovia, may be interrupted with major roadway construction. (ie dead ends, major detours, etc)
Wondering if anyone out there has recently walked the Madrid Camino and could offer some insight as to the current condition of the trail.
