You can check any of the various weather websites for an almanac that show the weather in previous years. It will be the same next year, but on different days!
September will usually have some very hot days, but the fall rains may begin, too. The higher elevations will have cool mornings and evenings, but you will shed layers as the morning goes on. Inside temperatures will be comfortable, so you will not need a heavy sleeping bag unless you plan to sleep outdoors. Crowds will be down, so finding a bed will be easy.
