Starting the Camino del Norte in Irun on August 25th

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Hi there we are planning to start in Irún, Aug 31 so a bit behind you. How is the situation with accomodation and reservations. Are you having any trouble finding accomodation/ having to book well ahead?
Thanks :-)

Hi there, E du P B. I'm breaking my camino into approx 18-20k daily stages so not quite sticking to the normal stage-by-stage stopping points but I have had no problems in booking - a mix of contacting places directly, booking.com and AirBnB. Several places were full in San Sebastian (it's that time of the year) but the rest has been easy. Good luck, Nick

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi Nick, thanks for the info great to know, buen camino.
Cheers Eli.

We are from Canada. We started the Norte from Biarritz on Aug 24...walked to St Jean de Luz...then to Irun....we are now in Bilbao for 2 nights. We have done the full Frances (2016) and full Portugues (2019) ..this one is the toughest. As long as you have good knees and feet...it is strenuous. Up and down all day. We use Caminoways service so our lodgings are all pre-booked...we hear others are having hard time finding accomodations in albergues. The scenery is fantastic...not too many other pilgrims..we have seen perhaps a few dozen only...so it's quiet and peaceful. The route is well way-marked. Masks required in all hotels and bars....until you sit down and eat/drink. We going all the way to Santiago and after that to Finnisterre

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
