Camino del Norte
I hope I'll be seeing some of you there
I decided to start in Roncesvalles this time because I don't have many days to walk and have not been training during winter
Do you know how busy the Camino is right now? I hope i will meet some camino friends in the albergue at Roncesvalles. I have read the way was lonely (for the francés) two weeks ago. Any insights?
Thanks and buen camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I walked the Camino Frances in January. On 2 January there were about 15 people staying in the Roncesvalles albergue and I had the same group of companions on and off as far as Logrono and met a few of them occasionally as far as Triacastela. As @Ianinam says that numbers are about 4x higher than that just now I don't think you'll be short of company. Just over a week to Easter and that will bring even more people on to the Caminos too!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
At present, just west of Pamplona it's not so busy yet, but enough pilgrims if you want to be in company. From this coming weekend as we go into April and with Semana Santa, it will get busy. You won't be alone!

You will want reservations during Semana Santa, and then things should ease, yet there should be plenty of company on the way.
Buen Camino!
