Yesterday was a major milestone for me, in that my Photographic Blog just passed the 40,000 visitor mark. I started this blog just a few years ago so that a few close friends could follow my journey. Then I knew nothing about creating a blog. Slowly and sometimes painfully I learned the process. Since then it has expanded and people from all around the world view it on a regular basis. It mainly covers Camino Routes but not always. It has separate sections on all the main Caminos, the Pyrénées., Alps, Provence etc, and a section on my native Sligo/Leitrim in Ireland.

After I complete a Camino I post a special section generally without comment to give you a "feel" of what you might encounter on your journey or to bring back fond memories to those of you who have completed that journey. In these journeys over the last six years myself and my camera have clocked up over 12,000 kilometres.

Thank you to all who have visited my Blog over the last few years. A very big thank you to Ivar and all the team for giving me the Platform to do so. I hope there will be many more Pilgrimages and Journeys for me to record.

I leave you with a thought for all your Journeys in the future. "The Destination is often the end, so don't rush to get there, enjoy the Journey."
