Time of past OR future Camino
2014, 2016
I just wanted to share that in 2016 I met a lovely man while walking the Camino Frances who I walked with for a few days and spent some time with in Burgos. After getting to know each other, we talked about how fun it would be to walk another Camino together in the future....well, after texting for 7 years, we are meeting in Porto in September to walk. He is from South Africa and I am from the US. He is now 86 and I will turn 75 on the walk. It just warms my heart that we will meet again and share a journey together. The Camino offers many opportunities for miracles to happen!!

Dear @nissa I can't stop smiling reading your delightful post. In 2014, I met a pilgrim who became a camino friend and our story evolved in a similar way. When we met up some time later to walk together again - like you and your friend, from two different continents and cultures - we were still 'just friends' with no expectation that we would ever be anything more. We were both just happy to see each other and walk together again. Almost 9 years later, we are married and still walking together. We will set out on our next Camino on 1 October.

I wish you and your friend the most wonderful reunion and walk together.
