my guess is this is the infamous path uphill just past the second water station. Keep going round that hill there and you will end up in Poladura de Tercia.

Is that the never ending path? It felt like it, kept seeing places that must be Poladura but either drifted over the horizon or never got any closer.

Reb, looks like you were right, no surprise there. Rachel of Kiwi-family just posted a virtually identical (and equally beautiful) picture of the same exact spot. (it's the 8th picture posted on June 8, La Robla to Poladura, http://charitywalking.wordpress.com ).

Al, where are you now??? Buen camino, Laurie

Well after I reached Oviedo a friend who works into Tineo took me back yo Bilbao for a long weekend. During this time I discovered the joys of relaxing on a beach etc. So as my boots were pretty worn I succumbed to temptation and instead of returning to Oviedo to continue walking I went to Madrid to visit friends. Now back in UK. Maybe I will restart later in the year. The wonderful thing is that I am not the least bit bothered about stopping early, so maybe I have learnt something else this time?
