I met Peter as he walked back into the village for breakfast.
He'd camped outside the village.
It had been a cold night up on the mountain.
"You must enjoy camping?" I enquired.
"Gerard," he replied, "I absolutely hate it.....but I'm a snorer."
"So? You should've stayed with me, at my albergue, lots of snorers there, including me," I said.
"I just couldn't," he said with that resignation that is born of experience.
I suddenly remembered his wife.
"Where's Jenny?"
"At that little casa rural."
"What? And your'e camping out? I'm somewhat confused Peter."
"Well Gerard," he said sadly, "Jenny can't handle my snoring either, and while I do not fear the wrath of God, I do fear the wrath of Jenny."

True story?
True story. That last great line so good I suspect he has used it more than once. Perhaps I've made Peter sound somewhat henpecked. He & Jenny became part of my Camino family. They are nearly retired, grandparents, and great mates. Perhaps typical of those wonderful lifelong couples who do not quite realise how much they mean to each other.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
