I will be hiking the Camino Frances starting August 29. I am flying into Barcelona. Need advice on getting to SJPdP.

I will be hiking the Camino Frances starting August 29. I am flying into Barcelona. Need advice on getting to SJPdP.

We have walked from St Jean in 2014 & 2016, flying from Australia into Barcelona. We have found spending an extra day in Barcelona, then an early train to Irun and the local train to Bayonne before the afternoon train to St Jean works.
We did this as the Pamplona to St Jean bus wasn’t running. That would be a more direct route if it is available.

Well, plans have changed. Norwegian changed flight times and couldn't make Barcelona conection. They allowed me to cancel. I am now flying into Madrid, train to Pamplona, bus to St. Jean. Will miss Barcelona, but there is next time.
