Train from Madrid to Leon

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Hi Brendan
Flying in from Oz, you’ll land at MAD T4S -
You’ll go to T4. From there (T4 airport) you will get the train to ChamartĂn. Trains to LĂ©on (or northerly ) leave from there.
At T4 there is an information office for the trains if you’re confused on arrival. (I used them in 2020 making alternate Covid plans
)
Also direct from T4 you can get an Alsa bus to LĂ©on.
So you’ve got choices.

- First one in 1977 by train. Many since then by foot. Next one ASAP.
Multiple daily 4-hour ALSA bus trips direct from MAD Terminal 4 to Leon centro. Cheap and very comfortable. No awkward shuttling to train stations required. Doesn't get any easier or lower-stress than that!
