How do I get from Madrid to St Jean Pied de Port?

I'm hiking in April and need to buy a sleeping bag... should I buy a 30 degree bag... or something warmer?
 
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

How do I get from Madrid to St Jean Pied de Port?
