Time of past OR future Camino
I plan to walk the Camino starting May 1 of this year. Starting in SJPP
My friend and I are planning on walking the Camino starting in SJPP. We wondering if anyone knows how we would get transportation from Pamplona to SJPP? Are there taxis? vans?
Thank you for any information you can share.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

To book a bus to St. Jean go to https:/www.alsa.es/en/ and click in the "Point of departure" type-in box. A pop-up allows you to pick a "Departure country" of "Spain." Then in the "Point of departure" box start typing "Pamplona" (without the quotes). As you type the name the pop-up starts showing fewer and fewer names until you can either finish typing or click on one of the names shown in the pop-up. Next do something similar in the "Destination" type-in box and pick "France" in the pop-up. Go back to the "Destination" type-in box and (this is the secret) type in the name "Saint Jean de Pied de Port" (without the quotes). If you abbreviate "Saint" as "St" or "St." then Alsa won't find the town.

Pension Corazon Puro in Viskarret about halfway between Pamplona and Roncevalles offers a service where they pick you up in Pamplona, put you up for the night and deliver you to St. Jean (or, I suppose, Roncevalles).

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Big thumbs up to Corozon Puro. For a little more than the price of the bus ticket you all get a comfortable night sleep, plus a wonderful dinner and breakfast in the morning. They have a website where you can book the pickup service and overnight stay. They deliver you to SJPDP the next morning. This is a great service and you will really be glad you selected this option when you arrive on the train in Pamplona exhausted from staying up all night after a long flight and find the Corozon Puro folks waiting to pick you up.

if your credit card is not accepted by alsa (or any other spanish concern), you may have to use paypal

I just made a reservation on an ALSA bus from Madrid to Pamplona using a Visa debit card. No problem!

I don't remember having a problem booking with ALSA from the U.S. using a credit card but I did have to use PayPal with the RENFE train service. That was last year, 2015.
