transporting gear

Hello from Deborah. I am starting the Camino the middle of June and hopefully ending the end of July. I an doing this with my daughter and I was wondering if there are people or companies who will move our gear from village to village each segment of the trip. This is our first time and I have had four spinal surgeries and cannot carry things on my back. We are not booking lodging thru a travel group so I am only interested in paying to transport some of our gear. :D

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
It is possible to do this but many municipal and church alburgues will not stay unless you are carrying your own pack. If you are using a service you should absolutely have advance reservations for accommodations, especially this year. Those tour group operators will be blocking rooms wherever they can.

Hi Deborah,
How wonderful that you can walk the camino with your daughter - that is so special!
There are many ways to have your packs transported. Some people use the local taxi services which are reported to be very honest and efficient. Others use some of the many baggage transfer services.
The church, municipal and some private albergues will not allow you to stay if you have vehicle back-up but there are many that will.
Here is a list of albergues with their websites and, where available, email addresses as well as a list of transfer companies. It might not be 100% up-to-date but it should get you and your daughter across the camino comfortably!
Have a wonderful walk you two.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I wonder if albergues will let you in if you have a letter from your doctor (translated into Spanish) and stamped officially (as many as you can get  ), that explains why you can't carry your pack?

Just a thought.

I don't think that any letter confirming your special need will help: my group of people with learning disabilities had a letter from the Archbishop of Santiago himself, and if anything, it antagonised the hospitaleros.
