Time of past OR future Camino
June and July of 2019
Hello All....well, I am flying to Spain to do my first section of the camino this summer. I am coming over from the U.S. alone and looking to find some fellow travelers to enjoy the trip with. I will be walking the end of june into the first week of july. I look forward to hearing back from people who might be traveling the same time. By the way, I am a 39 year old high school assistant prinicpal from California. Easy traveler who goes with the flow and looking for like minded pilgims.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Don’t worry about being alone - your issue will be more to find solitude!

Hi Matt, how far and which part of the CF are you proposing to walk. I'm from Australia, walked the CF this past May - June and would love to walk again, however travelling so far will be completing the entire CF from SJPDP. I'm flexible with dates. Cheers Pete

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Haha...thats half of what I am looking for. I appreciate your thoughts...thank you. I do many solo trips and have been dealing with solitiude. My thoughts were to see what the world would drop into my life in regards to meeting people from across the world. I fully appreciate your thoughts thoigh and it is why I am coming alone to Spain in general for 3 weeks.

I am open. I was thinking of 7 or so days but am flexible. I am not lucky enough to have as much time in my solo trip as I would like.

Great way to put it. Wait and see what the world will drop into your life in regards to meeting people from across the world. Don't need to plan that one!

A friend found on the internet can be a blessing or an anchor (with equal likelihood). A friend you find when you start the camino can be a disposable friend if it becomes necessary! At the time you will be walking you will have a choice of nearly 2,000 potential companions. It sounds like you will be starting at Sarria. You can identify pilgrims by their backpack as you get off the train or bus. Chat with them. At your albergue, everyone will be a pilgrim, so chat with them. Have a coffee or a meal together at the start. As you walk, you will find others who walk your pace and speak your language. Chat with them. Continuously walking at someone else's pace is a BAD idea. You will be tempted to skip breaks and ignore hot spots on your feet just to stay with them. Let them go. You will meet them again, or you can agree to meet at your day's destination. It is vitally important to walk at your own pace and learn your mechanical rhythms and limitations.
