hey everybody...my name is david and i'm from washington state. my son and a friend or two plan to begin the camino frances in mid to late august. just wanted to say how awesome it is to see so much helpful advice given and to see that there are others who seem to be as captivated by this whole idea as i am. great to know there are like-minded people out there.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Welcome to the forum.
Your camino will probably by hot in August, but not quite a "trial by fire." Thousands of people do it and they don´t burn up or die. You can do it too. It will be a trial some days, but I bet you´ll end up really enjoying yourself!

Leave them expectations at home.

so Rebekah, what's this 'Zen meseta' you mentioned? sounds like a retreat of some sort.
