Now that both of my Parents have paased, I felt it important to begin my pilgrimage on Mother's Day, May 13/18. This will ensure that I will be near the end on Father's Day, June 17/18.

God bless your Camino; my prayers and thoughts are with you. :)

Hola @MichelleElynHogan - a beatufil idea. Often we truly only value and understand what it was that our parents were trying to teach us after they have gone. I started my first camino, back in May 2013 on what would have been my father's 99th birthday. Buen Camino ;)

Hi Saint Mike II,

My Dad passed in 1977 at 59 years. He would have been 100 the end of this month, (Feb/18). My Mom would have been 95 last month. I cared for my Mother full time from 2010 to 2015 and tried the Camino in 2016 but injured my leg and had to leave the Camino but I was able to place Mum's ashes in the sea at Finisterre.

I just booked my flight and pushed departure up a week to get a better price, US$300) with WOW Air. Now researching a hostel close to the train ststion in Paris.

Hola, Michelle - bring a couple of stones from home (one for each of them) to leave at Cruz de Ferro! Hope you have a really successful "Buen Camino".;)
