Time of past OR future Camino
My husband and I will be walking from Sarria late sept 2016 for our 30th anniversary
What is the best way to go from tui to Porto airport?
The ones I have seen say “direct “ but it is not it doesn’t actually start in tui..

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Walk over the border to Valença bus station and take the bus?

Note that it’s a couple of euros more to Porto airport than to Porto (which is fractionally further) because of the airport charge. Don’t be tempted to cheapskate it - the bus drivers segregate the luggage.

Planning my next walk from Tui to SdC (I am taking my two grandsons who have a spare week at Easter)
I discovered that, because Valenca, (across the river from Tui) is in Portugal, the transport links are that much better.

Have a look at rail links. I found them much more frequent than the routes into Spain

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

SNAP!

And as @peregrina2000 confirmed on another thread; don’t forget the hour time difference between Spain and Portugal. It’s rare that one crosses a time-zone on foot; but when you cross between Tui and Valença - especially to catch a bus - it’s important.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Took the bus from Valença back to Porto a few weeks ago because the daily rail strike was too unpredictable. Even if your bus doesn’t go to the airport, the terminal is at the metro stop and it’s about a 25-min trip from there. Note: the Rede bus in Valença only took cash for the ticket. And some trips do a 30 min side run to Parades de Coura en route.
