Hello Camino friends,

A fellow Camino friend and I will spend 4 weeks walking next year. We plan on walking 2 weeks from Le Puy then move on to the Norte route for 2 weeks. He is from France and has a good handle on the Le Puy route and I have been tasked with researching the Norte.

For those that have walked the Norte what section would you recommend we cover in our 2 weeks there? We would like to end in Santiago (for a 3rd time) as it is becoming a home away from home for us. We have selected either June or September.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Eric

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
How long will you walk per day? Do you plan on walking to Santiago or hopping on a bus when you are finished your Norte section?

We typically walk 25 km per day. We are open to taking a bus leapfrogging along, depending on what sections are recommended.
Thanks

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
The nicest part of the Norte was the beginning, not the end. If you are not worried about walking into Santiago this trip. I would walk from Irun west. Take the train from Bilbao to Portugalete. That 17km is very industrial and if you only have 2 weeks . . .
