Buen Camino, Beth, and enjoy the day. Hope you meet many along the way you can connect deeply with! And, of course, hope your personal contemplative time is just what you need as well. Enjoy!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thanks for the update! Tell the others to report back, too (after starting the Sept./Oct. check in thread, I feel a little maternal about you all)
Thank you! Jill! I am in Pampalona now. Do you know where any of the other September 2 and third starts are?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi
Thanks for the update! Tell the others to report back, too (after starting the Sept./Oct. check in thread, I feel a little maternal about you all)
Hi there, don't know if there is a different thread for check in - please let me know We arrived in Roncesvalles today and start walking tomorrow. Weather is chilly and pouring rain. No good forecast for the next few days. We went to the pilgrims' Mass this evening and it was lovely. Church was full as there seem to be tons of pilgrims. We were in SJPP this afternoon and several places near the Pilgrim Office were already full. I recommend reservations and good rain gear

. . . Hi there, don't know if there is a different thread for check in - please let me know . . .
Safe on deck report! Good to hear from you, this is for live updates, so, unless you want to start a new conversation you are in the right place. Thank you for the situation report on the weather and the albuergues. Good luck on getting underway from Roncesvalles tomorrow. Que la luz de Dios alumbre su camino.

Nope, just like my other children, they never call.
Hi Jill, it's Sunday 10th 3.30pm and I arrived at the Valcarlos municipal at 11.30 this morning and I was the only one here for a couple of hours but now I think there is only 1 or 2 beds left, there are 23?beds in total. SJPDP was very full last night with about 30 pilgrims sleeping on the gymnasium floor....haha, one of marks of a true or slightly disorganised Pilgrim.

The Valcarlos municipal was a bit tricky to find as the Wise Pilgrim app has it marked in the completely wrong location. But I asked the store keeper and he put me right.....along with all the other pilgrims as no one could find it either.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Jill, we left Roncesvalles this morning in a torrential downpour. The path to Zubiri was underwater in spots and very slippery. More rain forecast for tomorrow as we head to Pamplona. Meanwhile we saw lots of 'Full' signs as we walked. Please make reservations and bring raingear and plenty of waterproof bags. My Gortex Trail Runners had an inch of water in them

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Finally sunshine and a beautiful walk from Puente la Reina to Estella. Still lots of Pilgrims and 'full' signs along the Way.
