Vegan on the Camino

Hello everyone,

I plan to hike the Camino del Norte this summer. Does anyone know if there are enough markets along the way to buy food? I'm vegan so I tend to rely on supermarkets for most of my meals. Thanks!

Buen camino,

Maru :)

Yes, there are.

Hi Maru,
We adored the Norte, especially when getting home and looking at the photos , they can be magnificent.
Commencing we were sometimes a bit negative comparing this with the Frances and Le Puy as major towns were never far away.
However it was a wonderful route especially id you follow the E9 whenever possible along the coast.
That said you will always be very, very close to big towns that have your diet covered.
After Ribadeo it becomes quieter but have no worries about food .
Enjoy this beautiful way,
David

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
