From Puy en Velay to Santiago (and Finistera) in 2011 (09/11-11/11)
Hola Peregrinos,
I would love to walk the Via de la Plata leaving Sevilla on Ash-wednesday, February 10 to arrive at Easter,March 27 in Santiago.
I would like to know if the albergues are open at that time of the year. Taking a tent with me is something i would like to avoid, (but i would carry it happily if necessary)
Thanks!
Happy Continuation!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Walking the Plata in February is fine. I started on the same date in 2014. Some of the municipal albergues were closed but there was always a substitute.

We had to cross lots of arroyos but I heard that this past February it was much beter. Do plan on rain.

Cheers,
LT

Thanx for the info! Can one buy food daily, or should i stock up regularly? Just a question of organising my backpack :)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I will! Counting down; only 75 days before following that mythical trail again. :)))
I'm scheduled for April 2016, so you're trail blazing it for me . . .
I'd be interested to read how things went for you . . Have a great camino !
