We are planning to walk the Via Della Costa in May 2018. We find limited information in English. We would like to know more about the route, accommodation, basically whether it is a recommended route. We enjoy the quieter, more remote routes. Any information would be appreciated.

Have walked the section Ventimiglia-Genova . Most of it on paved roads , walking next to main road Via Aurelia , then crossing the many towns always along the seaside , some km's on dismissed railways . It's a sort of long urban walk with ,of course , a beautiful view over the sea.
The section after Genova to Sarzana is more inland with more ups and downs and less urban mileage.
For a quiet walk across Italy would recommend the Via Francigena ,of which you can find a lot of info on this forum.
Should you need some more details feel free to send a PM

So curious where you walked and what your experience was like. Thanks for sharing.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
