Videos and books for the Camino Frances

This has been covered many times over the recent years on this forum.

And I would welcome your suggestions for other videos and books and the reasons for them.

Anyway I thought I would contribute my tuppence-happoth's worth.
Why?
It was prompted by a recent video posted on this site by Ivar
and by a book I have nearly finished

This is that recent "prompting" video

This is equally about a love affair on the Camino and of the Camino
Joyous and with, as yet, no epilogue as to what has happened to the pair after journey's end.
People have asked for one but there is, as far as I know, none yet.
And I hope it is left like that - hanging in the air.
For in the video the author stresses the transient and ephemeral nature of some of the relationships made along the way.

An Irish pilgrim's perspective
This too is a joyous and heartwarming video.
I love it.
The music will be Marmite to some.
But then I love Marmite - and the music!

This, with all its component parts, is almost a new must see and read for all would-be pilgrims.
Robo wears his heart on his sleeve and records very honestly and openly all his emotional, spiritual and physical highs and lows.
It is incredibly insightful and very inspirational.
Brilliant and very up-to-date.

Now the book "Off the Road" - Jack Hitt
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FCK32S/?tag=casaivar02-20
You will see from this link that this is currently unavailable from Amazon.
I bought it secondhand through Abe books http://www.abebooks.co.uk/
I have been unable to find an available kindle version.
This book is beautifully written, very informative and a joy to read.
I have been somewhat taken aback by some of the negative comments in the Amazon listing which complained that there was not enough "spiritual" or suitably respectful "religious" content.
I did not find it lacking in either.
And I prefer the content in Jack Hitt's book about the route, the buildings and the history etc to some of the hippy-dippy mumbo-jumbo in Brearley.
Gerard Carey (gerardcarey) elsewhere on this forum tells of a kindle version of Jack Hitt's book from which he read the relevant passages as he progressed along the Camino.

Now for the last book:

I've searched Amazon
I've searched Abe books
I've searched the web

Where is it Gerard?

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
