Just learned about this low cost Spanish airline, Volotea, available from Paris to Seville. It's my first time to learn abut it. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

I have flown them quite a few times and amd have been very impressed. I am on their mailing list and the quality of communications is very high. To be clear they are not a start up and have been around at least 10 years and they are a big airline.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thanks @TravellingMan22.
Having not heard of this airline before, I misunderstood the OP & thought it was a start-up. Good to know you've had positive experiences with them! 🙂

No problem at all. So many airlines operate intra European it’s hard to keep up with them all!

I guess it's understandable not knowing all the short haul (by Aussie standards 😉🇦🇺) Euro airlines. After the expedition to even step foot on the continent, the last thing I want is to get on another plane...so I walk everywhere; across country & borders🚶‍♀️🎒👟...funny about that...who would do such a thing?! 🤔 😆 🤗

The first time I walked across an international border was on my first Camino. Like you I come from an island nation and it seemed a very strange thing to do! :) Somehow I was expecting at least a fence and a gate or a striped barrier and someone to check my passport. Instead I found some old concrete posts that had long fallen over, a single strand of rusty wire which was mostly lying on the ground, and a horse wandering loose. I offered to show my passport to the horse but it didn't seem interested. So I just wandered into Spain and down to Roncesvalles. :)

I kept looking for the painted line...
My 'border patrol' was some goats...& their only interest in my passport was how it tasted. 😘

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hi @dfox

have used Volotea 5 or 6 times, typically on routes not serviced by the majors or the larger low cost airlines.

Carlos Munoz and Lazaros Ros previously worked at Vueling, before it was floated. Flight Global has an interesting interview with Carlos. As mentioned by @TravellingMan22 they have been around for +10 years.

Personally, I have found them to be one of the better low cost airlines.

Do your due diligence and choose the provider who best provides a service that meets your requirement.

Buen camino
