Mark Taubert in FranceInfo, 24 Mars, 2024 , describes a new GR hike which has been planned for the past 10 years along the Seine passing the locations where famous 19th c Impressionist paintings were created en plein air. If you are planning a trip to Paris soon you might find walking this area a pleasant excursion.

I haven't tried the app Ma Rando which is mentioned in the article, but it might be of use elsewhere in France. Perhaps I should say "eventually of use", since when I searched for the GR65 I found almost nothing related to that route.

This article highlights a new 130k hike which I find fascinating, but will probably never get opportunity to walk. When I was in Paris I chose to visit the Musee d'Orsay instead of the Louve as I'd heard it had more of the Impressionists' paintings on display. Spending time in both would have been overwhelming for me.

EDIT...I just did a google search and Monet had a collection of 231 Japanese block prints; many on the walls of his home.
