Walking the Camino de Sureste from Alicante to Astorga - A Journey through Spain

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
@Raymond Aquilina, Thank you for sharing your Camino memories with us. Of interest as it is not a walk I have previously done. Was the route well supported with albergues or other places to stay? Were you able to shop for food along the way? I also wonder about the availability of fonts/drinking water. I have found that paradoxically, it is often the routes in the south where one would tend to need water, that there are fewer fonts. Thanks for any guidance you can offer related to the Sureste Camino.

Hi Lindam ..sorry for not answering before. Thank you for showing interest in my walk.
Regarding infrastructure there is a choice between Hostals, albergues municipal and convents. The the municipals were mostly very good. I always found a place for the night..however one has to plan as villages are quite apart in many areas.
Regarding fountains they are very scarce and water sources are found in villages ...no bars in between ..so one has to stock water supply.
Notwithstanding these challenges I enjoyed every moment of the Sureste.
I will always be ready to help you in case of any clarifications.
Buen Camino,
Ray
