Hello,
A friend is planning to walk the camino frances next march. She is wondering about the weather ( snow?) and if the albergues are openned.
Thank you for your help.

There may be snow that early in the year. Many albergues open in April or around Easter, so your friend should expect to encounter closures. In towns with more than one albergue, one usually is open.

Is most towns with more than one albergues? You know where i can find a list of albergues ans there openning/closing dates? A internet site maybe? The possibility of snow would be in Roncevalles pass and O'Cebreiro? Anywhere else?

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
My wife and I will be starting from Roncesvalles on March 6, 2014. At the Canadian company of pilgrims meeting we were told, by pilgrims who have been there at that time of the year that we will not have any problems finding accomodation.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Karen, we are seniors so we are giving ourselves 45 days for the pilgrimage. I am sure you will catch up with us, looking forward to meeting you somewhere along the camino

With respect to Falcon's link, we are Canadian and we are traing in Ontario trails, I think that the winter conditions are more severe here than in Navarra. Still, we appreciate the warning. Abuelito (grandpa) will be careful.
