February 2023 Del Norte
We are planning to walk the Del Norte commencing in San Sebastian mid February 2023.
We walked the Portuguese coastal route for Porto to Santiago at the same time of year and found the weather perfect for walking. I'm expecting it to be colder on the Norte but hopefully not too extreme.
I understand many albergues will be closed so we plan to stay in hotel style accommodation along the way.
If anyone has walked it at this time of year I'd love to hear about your experiences and any lessons learnt to assist us in planning and shaping our expectations.
Cheers

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

There's a Vlog on YouTube by Efren Gonzalez who did the route about that time, a couple of years ago. There may be some detail there to help. If not, you'll at least enjoy the pics of the scenery.

I did Norte last fall. I snore pretty bad so I avoid albergues. Deba was the only place i had an issue booking ahead. No shame in taking the train, bus, or a taxi if you can't find a place to stay.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
