walking every day for the rest of my life
This time in a week we'll be halfway between New Zealand and Portugal.
We only have three weeks until we need to be back home and as it takes a couple of days travelling each way there is just not time to walk the whole route. So we will set off from Porto on June 9th.
I don't expect to update here, but I will be blogging...and to that end the first two posts have gone up on the blog. It's been a fun secret that we have kept from most of our friends (we only decided to do this about six weeks ago!) but now word is out.
History suggests we are pretty reliable at daily posting, so if you want to follow, please feel free.
The blog also contains all our posts from last year's wanderings that are in my signature. Each post is categorised according to route if you are interested in seeing something in particular.

Here's today's post.....and yesterday's
Hoping to meet up with "Annakappa" and "Fraluchi" - and any other forum members who might be around.
Will post pics from the cafe at Santiago when we arrive!

May your "simple walk" be a splendid time together; what a wonderful way it is to celebrate so many happy years! Looking forward to reading your blog.

Bom caminho and, as always,

Kia ora, Kiwi-family...so wonderful.
I may not be so able to be connected as I leave for a few months on June 5...to India...So i won't be able to explicitly follow your journey. But as I will also be walking, there will be a lot of natural well-wishing coming to you both!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Happy Anniversary and bom caminho, Rachel. I will be flying to Spain a week from tomorrow, so we'll be on the peninsula at the same time. But it looks like once again we will miss the chance for an in-person meet-up -- one of these years! I wish you a wonderful walk -- Laurie
