I am coming in the night before my group and want to stay in a hotel near to the airport and then go meet up with them the next morning and go on to sarria to start the last section. What hotels are on the bus route to and from the city centre?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The bus route follows the N-634 road from the airport into town and passes through Lavacolla on the way. There are several hotels on or very near the road in Lavacolla which is close to the airport. If you look at the village on Google Maps it should give you links to their websites or booking.com pages and show you the bus stop locations.

How far from the airport? Approx 2 km from the airport and close to a bus stop Labacolla De Santiago you have some pensions and an albergue (not shown in pic below but is just above the bus top in the middle). A bit closer to the airport you have one hotel, Garcas.

Hope this helps.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Gosh, could people please read the question - the title of the thread says it all. We are talking Santiago de Compostela airport, not Madrid, and the poster is asking a very specific question.

I've stayed in San Paio, which is right beside the runway (apartment over the Restaurant Porta de Santiago, or Last 12K, a lovely guest house). San Paoi about a kilometre and a half to the terminal, so a fifteen minute walk would get you there. It is directly on the camino, but not the bus route.

For something directly on the bus route perhaps the Ruta Jacobea?

They were both there in may when I was there. Pick your price range and desired comfort level. The dining room at the Ruta Jacobean is actually pretty good, while the Garcas is closer to pilgrim fare. Last time I stayed at the Garcas, and walked down the street for an expensive but welcome meal at the more upscale place.

It's not a hotel but the bus stops right at the door of the albergue in Lavacola to and from the airport
