So many topics on lists, where's this, what's with that. Good in their own way. But I got to thinking...

Isn't this pilgrimage more about what we want to leave behind? Reflect on? Cultivate in our souls?

So what are people bringing along so they can "leave" behind?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
20 (or more) pounds of fat. :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi,
I have thought the same thing myself, leave the cell phone at home. Travel light and live in the moment.

Many people carry a (small!) stone to leave it at the Cruz de Ferro symbolizing things they want to leave behind. For me personally, I try to leave behind my expectations about how my pilgrimage will be and try to be open for whatever happens. SY

Wonderful.. I too often get stuck in past moments but working my way free.

Bon Camino!

As well as I am. Whatever happens I trust that all those people, both struggling & thriving (as we see it) may empart that something special if we're open to it. I only pray I'll have the strength to leave my judgements aside.

Another lovely contribution SYates - Bon Camino!

I am going to leave behind self doubt... even as I type this there is a little nagging voice, "will I really g0?" Will I get the time off work I need; will I really get on a plane to fly for 12 hours (I despise flying); will I be able to let it all go and enjoy the journey versus driving my way through with only the end in mind -- Santiago.

I say good-bye self doubt.... I am tossing you in the garbage. The Way is ahead!
