I am walking part of the Camino from 2nd September to 18th, Leon to Santiago.
Hello everyone and a very happy new year.
I just wondered due to time and money what would be the shortest camino for me to walk? I would be very grateful for all suggestions.

A taxi from Sarria to the 100km mojone then walk to Santiago would be the shortest camino that would qualify for a compostela.

This question has been asked of the Pilgrims' Office several times. A sello from Ferreiros is the very last place that would qualify for a Compostela.
As I suspected from a practical standpoint. A cabful of twenty-something Spaniards had me snap their photo at the mojone. Then back into the taxi. They had something in mind, and I doubted it would be successful at the Pilgrim Office. I envisioned quite the debate as they showed the photo and explained how they walked the 100km in one day while the taxi waited outside...;)

Falcon, my son and I are walking O Cebreiro to Santiago starting 12 April, arriving 19 April. Curious to know what is mojone?

I have 13 days to find my way, landing in Madrid on May 7 at 8:30 am... Would it be more fulfilling to start in Sarria and go to The end of the world? Or start in Astorga and finish in Santiago? I am so excited and I know I will have an experience of a lifetime either way, but advice and comments will greatly help!

I love the Astorga start! Great food, great museum, and great cathedral. You get a gentle day to warm your legs before he start some climbing.

Thanks to both of you! This is what I was thinking also. I'm so grateful for this forum, I have so many questions and seem to find all the answers here! I can't believe I've been living my whole life not knowing about such an amazing opportunity :)
