When is a pilgrim not a pilgrim

I really feel that it is not my business to judge if someone takes a taxi. I can make reservations ahead if worried about numbers...but we didnt have that issue on VDLP Each one of us has our own Camino and will do it in our own way. I like the thought that taxi fares help the local economy as we dont spend a lot of money on other things like tourists! In the medival times, if a pilgrim was offered a ride on a wagon, I am sure he would have accepted!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I think the original pilgrimages started around about 1,000 years ago. I'm guessing that in the year 1000AD, if Pilgrim Pedro was walking across Europe to Santiago and Farmer Brown came along and offered out Pedro a ride in his horse and cart, I'm pretty sure Pedro would jump at the opportunity and give his body a bit of a rest. Extrapolate that to our time. Long gone are the horses and carts, but a taxi can be a godsend to tired pilgrims.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
