I think this place must be like Brigadoon. A couple of years ago, on my way down from Pico Sacro, I drove through a lovely little hamlet called something like Rubial. It had a fountain with a carved note that this was where the oxen had paused for water while carrying Santiago's body. There were Camino route markers. But having tried to find it twice, I think I must have imagined it!
Which route? Invierno, de la Plata? I'd love to find it again.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Nope. Neither of these and yes, now I think about it I remember Rubiaes on the Camino Portuguese. The mystery continues.
Was it my imagination? Am I living in my own book? Is all this research into the history of the Camino distorting my brain cells? Am I losing my marbles....? Tune in next week......

That's it. THAT'S IT! Jeff, you are wonderful, BRILLIANT! Lovely little spot I discovered in the rain and couldn't ever figure out why it had Camino signs. I seem to find the Camino even when I am not looking for it!
Now I can sleep at night again...sigh
Thanks,
Tracy :D
