Where is the bus station in Santiago?

Or rather, is there more than one bus station in Santiago for inter-city buses? Google Maps shows a bus/train station about 1.5km from the historic area of the city. Is that the one and only place to go? I’ll be taking the bus to Porto on Monday and wondering where I’ll depart from. If anyone has take the bus to Porto I’d appreciate your advice.

Far is clearly relative. The new bus station is less than a kilometre south of the edge of the old town, perhaps 15-20 minutes walk. If you are coming from the old town, don't go down to the front of the railway station, but stay at street level and go around to the right (west) for the bridge across the rail lines to the bus station entrance. If you have stayed to the east or SE of the city, you might want to cross under Avenida de Lugo to the south side, and enter the bus station from Rua de Clara Campoamor.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll be staying in the old town.
