Time of past OR future Camino
Oct 2015 began on the Camino Frances and then moved to Via de la Plata and ended in Santiago. Hope to walk more of the Camino Frances someday
hi! I will be walking a short distance on this route next week Oct 16th, and then heading to France via train to begin on the camino Frances. Does anyone have suggestions on accommodations in Barcelona? Safe, clean, minus the party crowd, good location. Also, are there any hostels for pilgrims there? Thank you.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi, Noey,

If it were me, I'd just check booking.com and get a good deal there on a centrally located place.

Are you going to walk from Barcelona to Montserrat? I would make sure to get some good information on how to do it, because there are some alternatives that are real killers. I didn't walk that segment, and my walking partner who did is now back in Spain, so I'm afraid I can't help you out. I walked from Montserrat to the Aragonés, though, and it was great. Buen camino, Laurie

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you. Will do!

Unless you have a fondness for the suburbs of Barcelona, I would take the tram up to Montserrat, and walk from there to (say) Igualada or even to Cervera. There are places to stay along the way, as well as albergues in those cities.
