Expect 50,000 other pilgrims starting in Sarria in the beginning of September. You will not be alone. Don't worry about that.

I would not worry about if anyone is walking I would worry that if I tripped and fell I may be trampled on by the hordes of pilgrims!

Yes, many pilgrims. I was there pre COVID August 2019. Beginning of September 2022 should expect the same. Buen Camino!!
