I am planning a winter Camino starting on 9 January, flying into Bilbao late evening and then planning to walk from Pamplona towards Burgos for a week. I'm wondering if anyone could give me some help with a few questions please? I have found some information but could do with some expert advice, from anyone who has been along that route recently or in winter.

1. Any good recommendations for albergues or cheap accommodation in Bilbao when I arrive in the evening, which would be close to the Bus station?

2. Has anyone travelled from Bilbao to Pamplona by the bus? Any tips or information please?

3. Getting from Burgos back to Bilbao, has any one done this? Again helpful tips or information would be great.

4. Any useful information on good albergues Pamplona to Burgos would also be great, and anything else which may be of help to me.

Many thanks, Peter

Welcome Peter, mspath, one of the forum members is a longtime winter walker and should be able to answer all your questions. You could try and PM her for immediate answers as time is short before you leave.
Many thanks for that. I'm a bit new to the forum, What

Put mspath into the search bar at the top right of the page, her posts should now come up, open one, click on her name or avatar, a profile box will pop up, click on " start a conversation" put in a title, write your post and wait for an answer.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
