I walked my bike down this monster hill - it was just too steep to ride down. The lose gravel even then caused a number of stops to re-group. This picture obviously taken in early Spring - in mid-late September the country was very, very dry and brown.
About half way down I met another cyclist who was riding UP this hill, it would have been a very tough climb.
 
Stunning photo, that is so much like the one I took 12 years ago! Everything was green, and it was sunny down in the valley... Many beautiful memories!
