Do people book tickets and then not show up? Is it possible to just be in Sopron and head out on a standby basis?
We're booked to go in July...a little concerned about the heat...any comments?
Thanks for any replies.
I have walked both the Portuguese and Francis with trusty cpap. No problems and we did carry a short extension cord which was helpful. Shared the weight with my husband. Enjoy!
we are planning to leave SJPdP on September 20 on our second pilgrimage. We have been travelling in Europ and have extra luggage. Can we send luggage directly to Santiago for pick up 30+ days later? Thanks

Yes we have pre booked. We leave August 22 and will travel in Italy before hitting the trail. We absolutely loved it last year and like you I had very mixed emotions but soon loved the easy rhythm of walking in mostly beautiful places.
We are also leaving from STJPdP on the 21st! Our second CAmino following on last years Portuguese Camino: Lisbon to Santiago to Finisterre. So looking forward to it! Didn't meet any Canadians at all last year. Sounds like a plephora of us leaving on the same day!
Would love to see photos of finished skirts! Sounds like a project for me. I am a 'skirt' hiker myself. Completed Portuguese last summer and planning number two for this September! Life is good!
My husband and I walked the Portuguese Way in Sept/Oct we are happy to add any information we can, but wonder what info you need. Also we are unaware of the forum guides, please let us know how to access them. Thank you!
My husband and I did the Portuguese way in Sept/Oct 2015. I am happy to give information but wonder just what info you would like. OTE="peregrina2000, post: 362123, member: 537"]Hi, everyone,
Last year I did an update of the guide from Lisboa, but not the one from Porto because I just didn't...
Hello, we are two Candians about to start our first Camino. We are having some difficulty finding how to transport our luggage in stages from Lisbon to Porto. It does seem much easier from Porto to Santiago! Thanks for any advice.
