Retired Soldier currently living in Germany with my wife. I have had a long time interest in the Camino (called the Jacobsweg here in Germany) and plan on doing my first Camino this year in either Spring or Autumn. I initially thought to walk all the way from our place here in Germany, but that would take too long (maybe someday!). I would like to do some shorter treks here in Germany as well! Buen Camino!
Levante / Sureste: I am just finalising plans for 9 days on the Camino Levante from Valencia. However, I fly into Alicante and I note that the Camino de Sureste begins in Alicente and joins the Levante in Albacete. If I stareted in Alicante, I could begin on the day that I fly in and I would gain an extra day of walking. Any advice on whether I should start from Alicante or valencia?
Most Tuesdays and Saturdays I walk along B'mouth seafront on a weekly basis to keep hiking legs and weight/fitness in good shape. My wife drops me off at Hengistbury Head (she spends the day with her 95yr old mother) and I then head west along the Promenade, eventually making my way to my M-in-L's home. If interested in meeting up for a coffee and chat at any of the many places along the prom, let me know! Chris
