Hello!
Anyone a suggestion for an itinary of walking 5-6 days in may? I'm looking for beautiful nature and silence in the meaning of no roads at all. Doesn't matter which part and doesn't have to end in Santiago as I walked already the entire camino frances and a part of camino portugues. But in...
Hello again!
Thank you all very much for the replies. I'm going to read now a bit more about the suggestions you've made. Also about the other caminos I didn't know about. O yes, another suggestion: a friend of mine biked in july (JULY!!) a part of the camino starting in the Delta of the Ebro...
Hello peregrinos!
I'm planning to walk a part of the Camino del Norte in may with a friend. I only have 6 days (boehoe) so I wanted to ask you which part is the most beautiful. And yes, I know beauty is very personal.. What I'm looking for is peace and quiet in nature (no big roads, traffic...
No I didn't..
We stayed at Tamel, which was a very nice beautiful albergue!!
The next day I met a girl from Brasil and she wanted to stay in Fernanda's, but it was already full. She said the woman was in a very bad mood, so she didn't feel very welcome anyway. It can happen.
Hello
Thank you for all the advice.
I took my old sleeping bag and I was very lucky I did.
I stayed in Tamel where were only blankets, in Ponte de Lima no blankets and in Rubiaes were only blankets.
It was a bit hot so I would suggest bringing a very light sleeping bag.
Buen camino!
Hello! Just to share with you: it was very easy to take the train back from Valenca to Porto. There are a lot of trains each day and no reservation is needed. It took me almost 3hours but it was beautiful and safer than the crazy Portugese drivers.. Buen camino and thank you for the help!
I did what other people suggested and walked Barcelos-Valenca.
It is so beautiful, I can recommend this to anyone!
Thank you for the good advice and buen camino to all of you!
Thank you for the reply. I will take my chances with the train.
As the 25th of may is a religion holiday day ('Pinksteren' is 50 days after Easter) in Belgium I thought this was also the case in Portugal (and maybe very busy on the train).
But it appears not to be?
Good day
Thank you very much for the helpful information!!
I prefer to take the train and I tried the webite of Http://cp.pt
But it seems it is not possible to make a reservation online. Does someone know reservation is needed on this train Valenca-Porto? Or can you just buy your ticket before you get on...
Hello fellow travellers!
Does anyone knows which is the best way to get back to Porto from Valenca?
I have to take my plane back to Brussels on the 26th may in the morning so I would have to get back the 25th of may (which is a festive day). Which is the easiest and nicest way to see some of the...
Hello,
I would like to walk 4-5 in days in may of the Camino Portugues with a Spanish friend. We don't know which part is the most beautiful, does anyone has a suggestion? I read Lissabon-Porto is not that interesting? It doesn't has to finish in Santiago; we both did the Camino Francés years...
