Starting Mozarabe from Malaga in a couple of days

I walked from Malaga to Cordoba a few weeks ago. Everywhere was open. I note of caution though, distances between places get longer and therefore water is a problem. Obviously no open water to filter. I carried 4 to 5 litres. Buen Camino

Starting Mozarabe from Malaga in a couple of days

Thanks for your reply. I am landing in Malaga just after midnight, next Wednesday morning. After a bit of sleep I’m heading for the Cathedral and then Decathlon to get some camping gas. My plan is to get a bus to the outskirts of town before starting my Camino. I have used the Amigo’s site to...

A bit of bus and public travel confusion

A long reply. I have used ALSA quite a lot, in common with some Spanish travel providers (trains mainly) they only offer tickets for sale a month or so before the travel date. Check dates nearer now to find prices and timings. I can use a senior qualification to get cheaper tickets which is...

    Safe Camping and private rooms

I'm starting from Porto on April 5th and hoping to camp as much as possible (mainly to avoid snorers and early risers). I have located at least 4 or 5 camping grounds on the Coastal and a couple have stated welcoming Peregrinos in the past. So here is hoping

Pre-Camino Walk Options to SJPDP: GR 78 from Lourdes or GR 65 from Aire-sur-l'Adour?

I walked from AslD a couple of years ago. I took 7 days. A few of the days are quite long between villages, 29km the first day! Enjoyed it though.

Coping with change after Sarria - wisdom needed please

I have just finished. SJpdP to Santiago and have been reasonably pleased with the behaviour of other Perigrinos. But from Sarria the compassion of other perigrinos has been left behind. In Melide three young people (after arriving at 2pm) put the in-room washing machine on at 9:30 and the dryer...

Bikers, please give walking pilgrims warning!

I have just arrived in Santiago and in the whole cyclists are just as courteous as some groups of occasional walkers. But as an experienced cyclist I can say that over 90% of cyclists are on powered machines.
