We walked in May/June this year - weather was great, maybe walked in rain for 4 days in total. Didn’t see other pilgrims till day 20!! Took us roughly 65 days with some rest days included. Had many albergues to ourselves … loved picking up the keys from local police, bars, community members...

Gotarrendura Albergue is great. 4 beds.. washing machine, fridge, basic kitchen with plates and utensils. The bar in town provided dinner and breakfast for us .. thanks Andrea for opening early. Last shop before Gotarrendura - Cardenosa has a great butcher/grocery shop.
Staying in Albergue tonight in Hoya Gonzalo - it is absolutely brilliant. It’s immaculately clean, spacious, well located - great cooking facilities. There are sheets supplied, bed covers and extra blankets - toilets and showers aplenty!

And I will add the dinner was superb! Locals seemed to turn up - the staff were brilliant.
And got given excellent duvets/doonas when asked for a blanket (sheets and pillowcases already supplied)
